Active winter

Also the wintertime is appreciated by outdoor-fans. The Sarentino Valley is even varied here. During the Advent season old habits come to life again...

Advent season

Discover the the Sarentino Alpine Advent and the "Klöckeln" nights!

More information

The "Klöckeln" is an old advental habit which was spread over the entire Alps in former times. In the Sarentino Valley this habit has been traceable since the 16th century and has been kept in his original way until today. On the 3 Thursdays before Christmas Eve the "Klöckler" ring through the village lanes. With lots of noise and roar groups of masked men swan around from house to house asking for donations.

Discover the Sarentino Alpine Advent: Christmassy decorated booths enchant you with traditional handicraft products which solely come from the Sarentino Valley. Who looks for a genuine Alpine christmas market beyond kitsch will love our Alpine Advent.

Birgit's tip: "Take a ride with the horse-drawn carriage at Sarentino. There's no better christmas feeling..."
